Important Information for Your Journey

Deposit

When we close your contract, we will release the deposit we blocked on your credit/debit card. It can take 5-7 bank days for credit card and up to 30 days for debit card, before your bank releases the amount we blocked.

Insurance

On the invoice there will be a line “Collision damage waiver”, this is not an extra insurance we have added, it’s a part of the total price. Please check that the total amount on the invoice is correct.

Prepaid rental

If you have prepaid your rental/insurance online you will not get an invoice from us for this charge. If you have added any extras at the counter, you will get a receipt for this from us.

Parking rules & Tickets

If you get a parking ticket, you must be aware that we will receive that later and will charge your credit / debit card, and that there will be an added administration fee. Speeding tickets are dealt with directly by the police in Norway, and we will be required to pass on rental information to them, if needed.

You are responsible for paying all parking during your rental period. If a parking is left unpaid, you will be charged and service fee will be added.

Please follow the link for parking rules in Norway.

Toll fees

All our cars are equipped with autopass chip that registers all toll passes and the ferry you have during your rental period. When returning the car, we will charge the amount from the deposit. There is also a delay in the toll system, some toll passes may be charged later. In that case we will charge your card directly and send a new invoice to your email address.

Damage

On the first page of the contract there is an illustration of a car marked with the damages we already have in our system. Please check the car, and if you find any damage not marked on the contract, please take a picture with date and time, and show it to us upon return or send it to our mail with contract number, this must be done before you leave the parking lot.

Tires and tire pressure

When transitioning from summer to winter tires (or vice versa), the tire pressure light may light up on your car's dashboard. This is a normal response from the vehicle's tire pressure monitoring system, as it detects a change in tire pressure due to the switch in tire types. It's important to emphasize that this is not a safety concern, and driving is perfectly safe. The light simply indicates that the system recognizes a variance in tire pressure and a reset may be needed to align it with the new tires. Resetting the tire pressure light is a simple procedure that doesn't impact the safety or performance of your vehicle.

Refuelling/EV-Charging

If you don't refuel before returning the car, we will do this for you, for an additional charge.

Please be aware of what fuel to put in your car. Diesel has a black handle and unleaded has green. Never use the blue handle.

Putting in the wrong fuel is not covered by any insurance.

EV return requirement + charging guide

Return requirement (80%)

The vehicle must be returned with a minimum battery level of 80%, in accordance with the rental terms. If the vehicle is returned below this level, a charging fee may apply.

To avoid this, we recommend planning your final charge so that you arrive with approximately 80–90%. Please check the battery level in the vehicle display before returning the car. If you are close to the required level, a short
top-up at a nearby charger is recommended.

How to charge

Fast charging – DC (rapid charging)

Fast chargers typically have the cable attached. Park the vehicle safely and select P, then open the charging port. Insert the connector (typically CCS) until it clicks into place.

Start the charging session via the operator’s app, charger screen, or RFID. Verify that charging has started by checking both the charger/app and the vehicle display.

When sufficient charge is reached (for return: 80% or more), stop the session via the app or charger, disconnect the cable, and return it to the
charger.

Normal charging – AC (standard charging)

Standard chargers often require a Type 2 cable from the vehicle. Park safely, select P, and open the charging port. Connect the cable to the charger first (if
required), then to the vehicle.

Start the session via app, RFID, or charger screen, and confirm that charging has started. When finished, stop the session before disconnecting the cable, and return the cable to the vehicle.

Important information

Charging speed may vary depending on charger type, battery level, and temperature.

Always ensure that charging has started before leaving the vehicle.

Always stop the charging session before disconnecting the cable.
